Leading the workshop "The information Fresk" with international students
They were coming from all over the world, from the Ivory Coast to Indonesia, some even arrived from as far as Shanghai, only 2 days before!
On Wednesday, as a team, they participated in a serious game to explore the cycle of information, going through the media, exploring the diffusion channels, discovering the bias we can have and what needed to be done to avoid getting fake news (or to end up believing that the earth is flat).
They had never met each other before and were going to spend the next 4 years on an international program at emlyon business school.
Their takeaways, besides learning a lot of new concepts around the information cycle, were that they enjoyed the interactive learning process, working as a team and discovering ideas from people with different cultures and perspectives.
I was facilitating this workshop called The Information Fresk, in partnership with Awayke. I saw those newly formed groups of international students moving through this process together, sharing ideas and collaborating to create the Fresk with genuine curiosity, open minds and a touch of creativity!
This is what I like the most when I facilitate multicultural workshops, discovering the diversity of profiles and viewpoints and how they manage to collaborate despite their differences, which end up being strong assets for the team.
